You Are The Hero – You Are Beautiful
In the middle of May I had to do a photo shoot for a woman who was being prepared by the make-up artist @makeupbylindabrown. I worked with this artist over five years ago and her work is excellent. It was left to me to take the pictures.
By the end of May I attended MCM Comic Con at Excel, London. At Comic Con people dress up as heroes, heroines and villains from Comics, Cartoons or Television. Comic Con is a gathering of people who share a common interest. Place the word Comic Con in your search engine to find out more.
This is also a good event to take pictures. The majority of the people who attend are happy for you to take their picture. This is an enjoyable time to capture the humans at play. The movie Black Panther was released to the United Kingdom in February this year so there were quite a few panthers at Comic Con.
As children we all have dressed up in our parent clothes, jewellery or shoes. You may have copied the Preacher, Singer or Actor. When it comes to acting you may have taken part in a Christmas play, Shakespeare or something contemporary. Sometimes you play the villain. The good in you is what you have to work on.
You may have employed the services of a make-up artist for your wedding, photo shoot or role play. Or you may apply make-up at the start off every day. When the day has ended you return to being you: the real hero or heroine, the one who looks good in the mirror.
Congratulations to all the young heroes and heroines which attended Comic Con in their amazing outfits. They are our present heroines and heroes off now and tomorrow.
There was quite a lot of merchandise on sale. There were comics and outfits to allow you to dress up.
I located various lone soldiers who looked good in their outfits. Most of these characters I do not recognise so I cannot tell you who they were meant to be.
What I liked was where people brought a friend with them that shared the same interest. What follows below are group shots.
It was an enjoyable day and the sun was shining outside. For the inside pictures I developed using software as shot (average white balance). If flash was used then I developed for flash white balance. For outside I developed as sunlight white balance. All images were captured as RAW. There were a lot of men outside which I captured images off. Superman was giving advice to various characters.
I located ladies in their outfits and captured images under different lighting conditions. For the first image the flash gun was fired.
For the following images, the first had the flash gun fired and the second was taken under the artificial lighting of inside.
The day has ended and you head off home. You have removed the outfit, the masks and the makeup.
Remember this, “I am Black, I am Beautiful, I am the Hero, I am the Heroine”.
