The Union Jack display in Regent Street, London, England to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee

The Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend which ran from Thursday, 2nd to Sunday, 5th June 2022 was to mark the reign of Queen Elizabeth II for 70 years on the throne. I wanted to capture images on Thursday because I had other appointments for the long weekend. There was no chance of me capturing the parade so I will have to refer you to my post of 2019 of the Trooping the Colour.

There was no place to stand to capture images so I made my way to Trafalgar Square, London, England and captured the images shown above.

Images of dogs which attended the event are shown above.

From the Arch I could see straight up the Mall and captured images of guests arriving for Trooping the Colour.

Trooping the Colour was going on at Horse Guard Parade. I decided to capture more images of the crowd to pass the time.

When Trooping the Colour ended I captured images of the guest leaving.

The aircrafts flew over The Mall towards Buckingham Palace and then it was all over.

For the rest of the day I captured images at Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Charing Cross, Covent Garden and Westminster.

On Saturday afternoon I visited Oxford Circus and Regent Street to capture more images.

The celebration meal is another story. I had too many appointments for the weekend so there was no time to cook anything. The frozen section of Aldi and Iceland is where the above meals came from. It also included a celebration pork pie which took me four days to consume.

For the lighting of the beacon at 9:45 p.m. on the Thursday I had a firework left over from the display for November 2020.
The weekend was busy but enjoyable.
