Snow Time Play Time

by T Stone January 31, 2021 No Comments

In Tottenham, London, England there was a brief snow shower on Sunday, 24th January 2021. The word brief has to be emphasised because the snow only lasted for three hours before it started melting away. Here is a history of recent snow falls in Tottenham. Back in 2018 Tottenham had snow and a very cold spell which came from Russia. This was in my post My Visit to the Palace and Snow, Cold and Wind. In 2019 it snowed at night in Tottenham and was gone in the morning. This was posted as The Snow at Night. I cannot remember any snow for 2020. Other matters dominated the news. Let the story begin for 2021 and hopefully images to impress.

Snow was predicted for the weekend so I planned for it by getting up at 8 a.m. to capture images before the snow started. Everything was covered in frost: it was a cold night.

By 11 a.m. the snow had started. I knew that it was not going to remain as snow on the ground for a long time so I wrapped up well and headed out.

I captured vehicles that were moving and vehicles parked up. My first stop was Bruce Castle Park, Tottenham.

From the above images you can see that it was play time for the children. My enjoyment was capturing the images. For the jogger in the image I can only pray that there was a hot soup waiting for his return home. The snow was becoming water so I made my next stop Tottenham Hale.

I did not make it there in time. The snow had stopped and was starting to melt.  I headed home.

From my window I captured images of the melting snow.

The next day had shown that the snow had gone, the frost had gone but the cold temperatures remained. Always capture the moment and find a way to present it.
