Miss Sydonie Barrett was crowned Miss Caribbean UK 2019 at the Greenwood Theatre, London, England on Saturday, 9th November 2019. This is the 6th Annual Miss Caribbean UK beauty pageant which was founded by Clayton and Jacqui Brown. Positively Promoting the Caribbean is the aim of this event.
There were twelve contestants representing Jamaica (5), St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia (2), Dominica, Grenada, Cayman Islands and St. Kitts and Nevis.
Sydonie represented the Cayman Islands and also claimed the title of the People’s Choice.
The 1st Runner up was Deearnie Felix representing Dominica.
The 2nd Runner Up was Dale Joseph representing St. Lucia.
The Best Evening Dress was awarded to Clarice Stewart representing Jamaica.
Miss Personality was awarded to Rene Thompson who was representing Jamaica.
The host for the evening was Norman Busigu and Tamera Farquharson-Ellis.
Tamera Farquharson-Ellis is the Reigning Queen for Miss Caribbean UK 2018.
The event opened up with Myself UK Dance Company and was followed by the contestants appearing on stage in carnival costumes individually and introducing themselves.
The artist Pae3ot performed on stage.
There was a break to allow me time to capture images inside and outside the auditorium.
After the break the Hosts introduced two Caribbean ambassadors followed by Myself UK Dance Company.
This was then followed by an evening gown appearance by each contestant.
The aritist Deborah Asher performed on the stage.
The contestants were all interviewed on stage by selecting random questions from a bag.
The artist Dekar Artist made two appearances on the stage and the crowning of the Miss Caribbean UK 2019 completed the evening.
