Booby Cay, Jamaica
It was the start of December 2021 and I finally made it to Jamaica. Standing on the beach in Negril and looking out to sea was a very pleasant site to see. The last time I was in Jamaica was in the spring of 2019. This is covered in my post Easter in Jamaica. The pandemic called COVID prevented me from travelling. I booked a flight and it was cancelled. When the time came for me to travel I got on a plane and I was in Jamaica.

Whilst getting some rest in a hotel in Gatwick Airport I decided to capture the moment. The challenge was to capture the cube light in the image. This was finally achieved by dropping the exposure value (EV) to -⅓. The final changes to the above image were completed using software.

Due to a change in the time of the flight I did not get into Jamaica until late evening. It was dark so there is nothing to show off my journey from the airport.

The stay in Negril, Jamaica was relaxing. There was a fire on the beach with live music and wonderful food. Not having to cook anything for December was quite enjoyable. Jamaica is a food paradise if you live in the country. I still consider Westmoreland as being country.

In Savanna la Mar the Christmas tree with the Church in the background reminded me that Christmas was coming. I was home. It was time to explore Jamaica. This is a brief summary. Other issues needed to be progressed because I was away from Jamaica for a long time.
There were some bananas left in the garden so I was able to have rum and raisins ice cream with the bananas once they were ripe. The breadfruit and star apple was ready but nothing else was ready.

The above is soup from a restaurant in Black River. I found a dumpling.
From Savanna la Mar to Mandeville the streets were busy leading up to Christmas. The above also shows that Gran Market was happening on Christmas Eve. Whilst I was leaving Mandeville it was just starting. Back in Savanna la Mar it was on-going. The curfew was lifted until 1 a.m. Christmas day.

The month of December was coming to an end. I took my last look at Savanna la Mar.

At Montego Airport I had jerk chicken and departed on a night flight. It arrived at Gatwick Airport in the morning. It was dark so there is nothing to show.

The above is Saint Pancras Station, London.
Have a blessed 2022!
