Hot Summers Yellow Grass
I cannot complain! I am enjoying the hot weather because it reminds me of Jamaica. The lack of rain has turned most of the grass yellow but there is still a lot of greenery and flowers. Whilst in Jamaica my main places of stay are Savanna-la-mar and Negril. Both of these areas are by the sea. On Saturday, 30th June the weather was hot like it is now. It was a good day for taking pictures so I headed out with the camera. A school was holding its summer fete. Nice but walking around taking pictures where there are children causes problems. I will give it a miss.
A few weeks ago a flyer was placed on my wind screen advertising steel bands playing at Lordship Rec, Tottenham. I have not entered Lordship Recreation Ground for such a long time so it would be nice to go. It is a large open space park in Tottenham.
Since the sky was clear and bright the only setting required was sunlight white balance with the lowest ISO. ISO 80 for my camera or 100 if your camera cannot go that low. My aperture is f5.6 and greater when zooming into a subject. In the distance I could hear the music and see where people were gathered.
As I came closer I could see the steel pans and drums that were being played.
As I walked around I noticed a lady adorned with a Jamaican flag.
Food was available.
People were just relaxing on the dry ground and listening to the steel bands.

Another steel band started playing.
Another steel band entertained with their pans.
The main host Pan Nation returned to play the steel pans and drums.
It was quite entertaining for a Saturday afternoon.
As I was getting ready to leave I noticed another stall advertising carnival costumes.
Too Fly Creations was promoting the upcoming Notting Hill Carnival
Whilst leaving Lordship Recreation Ground I could not resist taking pictures of the landscape.
From the high view point I could see Alexandra Palace in the distance.
All of Broadwater Farm could be viewed from this height.
This is Tottenham on a hot sunny afternoon.
