CurlyTreats 2019

by T Stone October 30, 2019 No Comments

The Natural Hair & Wellness Event, CurlyTreats Fest was held on Saturday, 26th October at Hotel Novotel London West. The event saw everybody braving the wind and rain to come out to the event that was spread over two floors. Shirvina Best is the founder of this event that pulls together Black Businesses that offer services ranging from the well being of your natural hair and skin as well as the dressing of the body in afro-centric clothes. For Black History month this was a positive image to let people know that Black People are still in business.

There was a conference room that ran educational conferences during the afternoon of the event and there was a children and teens session as well.

On both floors there was music to make everybody feel at ease whilst pressing pass the crowd of people who attended the event.

There was jewellery to adorn the body and art and books to decorate your home and educate your mind. Christmas cards and toys were also available to be purchased.

During the day there was the option to attend the stall that was offering a massage.

KOL Social released the first issue of their magazine and it was been given away for free. The contents of the magazine had an interview, business directory, culture, fashion, beauty, food and travel. As I skimmed through my copy I could see that it is worth reading.

The day had ended of a properly organised event and I headed back to the piano that greeted me at the start and headed back home.

Below are more images that I captured during the event.

The camera lens was set at the widest opening of f2.8 to f4 and the ISO was set between 800 or 1600 with average white balance.
