After a two years absence I finally returned to MCM Comic Con at Excel London, England on Saturday, 28th May 2022. My last attendance at Comic Con was in May 2019 which is covered in the post The Next Prime Minister.
I only attended for one day which was the day the tickets were sold out. There were a lot of people inside and outside. Over 200 images were captured of the event and this post will present a summary of the Saturday.
Just under three hours was required to walk around and visit the stalls without stopping. This was due to the press of the crowd that attended for Saturday. There was no shortage of merchandise for the Comic Con enthusiast.
There were active areas which allowed you to participate with others on the day. Stars Wars fans were having classes and even the youngest wanted to participate.
Comic Con is dependent on you the public. You dressed up and played your part for the day. This was covered in my first Comic Con post You Are The Hero – You Are Beautiful. Below are a few more images which I captured whilst inside.
My outfit was no match to what everybody else wore for the day. It is time to go outside.
I captured all of the images using RAW. The camera setting of ISO 2000 was used whilst inside. For the outdoor images it was cloudy. This was good because it stopped strong shadows from occurring. ISO 160 was used for the afternoon and ISO 250 for the evening.
Images of individuals and duets were captured to allow the details to be examined of the faces and the outfits. Now what follows are the group shots.
They organised themselves and I captured the shot. This is just a snippet of the images that I captured on Saturday.
