The Chinese New Year celebration was the place to be for rich colours during the winter seasons. I visited Trafalgar Square and China Town on Sunday, 26th January 2020.
The Chinese New Year is linked to the Lunar Calendar. This is why it is also called the Lunar New Year. The moon orbits the Earth every 27 to 28 days and this is what the Lunar Calendar is based on. In your search engine type Lunar Calendar to get more information.
With the risk of the coronavirus becoming pandemic a few visitors to this event were wearing masks.
It was a cloudy day which ended with rain. The camera was set between ISO 500 to 800 for most of the images. I checked the weather in advance and carried the waterproof camera. I captured the rich colours and the action. Here are the main images.
The rain did not stop me from capturing images and I continued taking images with the camera whilst the camera was drying around my neck! It was a good day out. Below are a few more images that I captured whilst at the event.
Look for rich colours and you will liven up winter.
