Africa Fashion Week London 2018
On Saturday, 11th August Africa Fashion Week London 2018 was held at Freemasons’ Hall, London, England. In its 8th year this was the final Catwalk show of the two day event. The Saturday evening event was showing major designers. This was the third of three catwalk shows that was held on Saturday which was not to be missed.
Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) promotes African and African inspired fashion to the world of fashion and is a force to challenge established fashion houses. The opening image shows Ronke Ademiluyi (5th from the left in orange) the founder of AFWL. Ronke was giving a closing talk of a perfectly organised two day event.
The evening show commenced with Soboye representing Nigeria and the UK with its designs. A few are shown below.
The next designer to grace the catwalk was Van Else representing the Netherlands with its African designs. A few designs are shown below.
Mary Martin was representing the UK and the designs commenced with wonderful dresses. A few are shown below.
